Short-Acting Oral Contraceptives
Short-acting oral contraceptives (AKA the Pill) are a very effective form of pregnancy prevention that needs to be taken daily.
Taking the pill requires you to think about taking them every day at the same time. The pill is also reversible, meaning once you stop taking it, the contraceptive effect wears off rapidly, and you can become pregnant as quickly as someone using no contraceptive.
Combination Pill
Oral tablets that have to be taken every day at the same time; release the hormones progestin and estrogen to prevent pregnancy
Progestin Only Pill
Oral tablets that have to be taken every day at the same time, with no break between packs; these pills only contain a progestin hormone, making them ideal for women who cannot take estrogen-containing options
