September 17 • Bijou Theatre

One night. One film. Two extraordinary songwriters.

Join A Step Ahead Foundation of East Tennessee for a special evening celebrating the heart of Nashville’s songwriting community with a screening of the documentary Ten Year Town, followed by an intimate live performance from acclaimed singer-songwriters Erin Enderlin and Chris Canterbury, both featured in the film.

In a city often defined by overnight success stories, Ten Year Town shines a light on the artists still making the climb. The documentary follows nine Nashville songwriters through some of the most pivotal chapters of their careers, from playing empty rooms and sleeping on strangers’ couches to signing their first publishing deals and stepping into the spotlight of the Grand Ole Opry. It’s an honest and inspiring portrait of perseverance, friendship, and the unwavering belief that the next song, the next show, or the next year could change everything.

After the screening, experience those stories come to life as Erin Enderlin and Chris Canterbury take the Bijou stage for a special live performance featuring the songs and storytelling that have made them two of Nashville’s most respected writers.
